So I started this with the free trial of Scribd that I had going on. I had added this in my Currently Reading a while ago and then forgotten about it. Which is why my Currently Reading list looks so inflated. So, this book is precisely why I love Scribd so much. It is amazing for throwing up recommendations like this one.
This one is a horror cum mystery book and I have to say, it lives up to both the genres. The story starts off with a break in. Straight away. And the writing is so brilliant, you feel that fear right away. It comes and attacks you right then. That something is happening. Try reading this book at night. Alone in a room. It really accentuates the writing. The book is a Catholic fiction based book with strong hints drawn from the Christianity faith. The lead, Jack, and his wife Pamela, are devout Catholics and this theme draws heavily into the book.
However, unlike some of the Christian Fiction books I have read, where religion overpowers everything else, but this one was not like that. It was excellently written. The book follows this break in.
However, it is written really well. There is so much of drama that you find yourself turning page after page to find out what happens next. Rating details. More filters.

Sort order. Viel me behoorlijk tegen. De schrijfstijl wist me maar niet te boeien helaas. I really wanted to like this book. First book I read by this author. The narrator was quite good, but his female characters were a little over the top. The first half of the book was good; the second half very predictable. It is obvious this author has an anti-gun agenda. Don't know if I'll read any more by this author. View 1 comment. This was a great interview! So scary about that home break-in. Thank God no one was hurt. I agree about bullying too. I hope our schools will frown upon it. Thanks for the great interview! What a horrible experience that was for your wife and baby…. Of course you would have been worried…. May God continue to guide you as you write…Hopefully, the expereince is little more than a bad memory now.
I love Christian suspense because it touches us where we all live. Sometimes we ignore the dark forces around us, influencing us, working their magic to try to cause us to stumble.
But when I read great authors who reveal the darkness, it strengthens me and makes me better able to defend what is precious to me. Your book sounds fantastic. Just reading the interview had me on the edge of my seat. Thank you for the opportunity to win your book. Barbara Thompson barbmaci61 at yahoo dot com.
