This is terrible, everything is terrible. I am deeply heartbroken. My child. My poor child. I love Levi so much, he is such a complex character and he is also my favourite and i am so invested in him.
And everything keeps happening to him. He lost everything. He keeps losing everything. How is that man still standing. He was born underground, lived in the dirt but he still found people to rely on, people to help and care about and those people we No. And he lost them. But he kept moving, found a new purpose, to help humanity. Then later on, he's going to have his squad, to have a new family, people he'll keep at a distance, emotionally speaking, but he will care and they will be ripped from him again.
Everything this character is going through, how is he still standing. And i don't know, i just love him so much and have so much respect for him, i really need him to be okay, in the end, this is all that matters, because i feel this, going through so much shit that you don't think you'll ever be able to stand on your own and get better and be happy and for him and for me, i just need him to be okay.
In others words, i really loved this volume, along with the first one and i would definitely rec it to everyone. It will leave you speechless, and really sad but you will love Levi even more and it is worth all the pain. Dec 13, Cornerofmadness rated it really liked it Shelves: manga , fantasy , dystopia. Since I like Levi, I had fun with this two-part side story. I really enjoyed seeing Zoe as well my other favorite character.
Apparently she and Levi have gotten along well cough since the beginning. Sparks aplenty. It was interesting to see Isabel getting caught up in the military's ideals. Furlan and Levi seemed shocked by this. As for those two, they were more easily convinced to stay on task and try to get the incriminating papers from Erwin, something they failed at, figuring he must have Since I like Levi, I had fun with this two-part side story.
As for those two, they were more easily convinced to stay on task and try to get the incriminating papers from Erwin, something they failed at, figuring he must have them on his person. Unfortunately they are all forced outside the walls on a mission before the friends can find those papers. Furlan is naturally distressed. Isabel, as mentioned before, seems to look forward to the chance to fight. Erwin is already using his smoke signal communication system but things go awry when a massive storm crops up obscuring everything.
Levi makes a critical decision to go after Erwin alone while leaving Isabel and Furlan in the safety of the group. You can imagine how well this works with a title like 'no regrets' and the fact certain characters have never been seen in the main story. This is a worthy addition to the series. The art does preserve the original's intent but it a bit prettier not hard to do. In addition there is a great interview with Isayama and Suruga. I knew Levi was small but I didn't expect him to be only 5'2".
There are two other fun side stories in this, one dedicated to Levi's OCD clean fetish oh dear god and another to his tea fetish I can get behind this one. Apr 04, Michelle Teoh added it. Jan 01, Jasmine Rose rated it really liked it Shelves: manga , books-read.
No Regrets, Vol. 2 - Saliva
I prefer the art in No Regrets over AoT, but this story just didn't have quite as much depth. I know there's only so much you can do with two volumes, but it kind of felt like something was missing. I still enjoyed getting some backstory on Levi and I cried at the end, especially thinking of what Future Levi goes through as well. I didn't really care for his quick attitude cange about Erwin, though.
It just felt too sudden and I was left wondered if I'd missed something it's quite possible I di I prefer the art in No Regrets over AoT, but this story just didn't have quite as much depth.
It just felt too sudden and I was left wondered if I'd missed something it's quite possible I did. May 26, Ash rated it it was amazing. I knew it. I knew Isabel and Farlan were going to die once this began. It's kinda obvious, if you've read the main story first- though why anyone would read this before reading the main story, I have no idea- but still. I knew they were either going to die after this story ends, but before the main story, or die within this one.
Can't say I'm too sad about it- Isabel was wonderful, but I hated Farlan.
He irked me. And I feel horrible for Levi, but I loved this spin off!

Oct 16, Elizabeth rated it really liked it Shelves: manga. An intense little backstory for Levi. Though it was shortlived, it was no less powerful as expected from a spin-off from Attack on Titan. Plus, reading this over a month and a half since I read the main series to its most recent update, I'm getting excited for Titans again.
If only I knew how long the series shall push onward, so I'll know how many more volumes will finally answer questions from the beginning And let humanity recover once and for all Jan 02, Bliss Silverleaf rated it it was amazing. I love you. You're the sun of this story. Well, not exactly, but you understood me. You went through so much How many times I have to see you so perfect and love all your imperfections? I just can't stand.

My only gripe with it was that the side characters like Farlan and Isabel were not developed enough for me to actually care about them. Before that, was Isabel an orphan?
No Regrets (Vol. 2) Lyrics
What happened with her? Details like those would have given the story an extra layer. Same thing applies to Farlan who Isabel really respects as well. If only we had spent 10 pages or so exploring the past of those three friends Still, I strongly believe his friends played a big role to his actions and his decisions because they are almost like a family to him. That's why they need to be more fleshed-out. Other than that, I loved the interactions and the tension between Levi and Erwin and it was the perfect read for me since I'm currently rewatching the anime.
