Aug 16, Lindsay rated it it was ok. The plot was okay, but I do enjoy Wharton's writing style sentence structure, vocabulary, etc. Her descripton of the cousin's obsession with growing melons was deliciously creepy. View 1 comment.

I was surprised at her versatility in writing stories beyond things like The Age of Innocence. She does a good job of stories with a bit of a twist.
